OUR STORY

About Us

Live Life Safaris was born in 2010 as a family affair. In fact, the very name of our company was inspired by our owner Clint Saint’s father who passed away too soon due to illness and always encouraged his wife and kids to “Live Life.” This rallying cry influenced everything from how we acted as a family to what we experienced in life.
Live Life Safaris is an homage to our dad who instilled in us the notion that “you only have one life, so make it count,” along with the drive and desire to be curious, to explore, to discover, and to experience the wonders of the world around us.

Today, we are still a family business, and the idea of family extends far beyond bloodlines to our entire team in the U.S. and Africa. We not only work together, but we socialize and travel together, sharing far more of our life experiences than most teams.

On-The Ground Team

WHERE WE ARE

On-The Ground Team in the States and Africa

We employ teams in both the U.S. and Africa, and operate with a high-touch philosophy, guiding our guests through every step of the process of designing and embarking on an adventure into the heart of Africa.

We have a U.S. team which makes the entire process of building your ideal itinerary easier because we operate in the same time zones where you live. And our local Africa team makes every reservation, transfer, and booking, so we’re intimately familiar with every step of your journey. Even when the rare unforeseen event occurs, we’ll be there by your side in Africa so we can take care of any changes in real time.

We drive all of the communications between our stateside and African teams and use the change in time zones to our advantage by getting work done, often while you’re sleeping. It’s this constant communication that allows the wheels of our operation to turn 16 hours a day.

My favorite personal experiences are always the ones where I drive myself through some of Africa's most pristine wildlife regions, exploring new lodges and experiences to offer guests. I have done this in all the countries we operate into. During the Covid pandemic I travelled to Kenya with my wife and collected a game viewer and simply explored Kenya at our own pace for 3 weeks. Being in areas like the Masai Mara with no other vehicles in sight (due to the pandemic) was an absolute treat and something I will cherish forever!

One of my favorite memories in Africa is canoeing down the Zambezi River. Drifting quietly through the water surrounded by stunning scenery and amazing wildlife was both peaceful and exhilarating—an experience I'll never forget. It's moments like these that inspire my passion for creating life-changing African adventures for our guests.

I haven't had the opportunity to visit Africa yet, but I'll be taking my very first safari this November, and I can hardly wait! I'm especially excited to wake up before sunrise for my first game drive and experience the magic of seeing wildlife in its natural habitat. I know it's going to be an unforgettable adventure, and I can't wait to experience firsthand the incredible destinations and moments that we help our travelers discover.

One of my favourite memories in Africa has got to be the Summiting Mount Kilimanjaro and spending thousands of hours in the African bush gave me a deep connection to Africa and its natural beauty. These experiences taught me perseverance, patience and respect for the environment. They shaped who I am, strengthened my resilience and left me with memories that will last a lifetime.

My favourite African memories are gorilla trekking in Uganda and taking a hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti gave me two unforgettable perspectives on Africa's natural beauty. Seeing wildlife both up close and from above filled me with awe and strengthened my appreciation for Africa's extraordinary landscapes and animals.

Botswana! Hearing and elephant trumpet, about 20m away from our vehicle...there is nothing like it.

Following Legadema, a leopard in the Okavango Delta, was an unforgettable experience that gave me a rare glimpse into the life of one of Africa's most remarkable animals. It deepened my appreciation for the beauty and vulnerability of wildlife. Her story is beautifully captured in the documentary Eye of the Leopard.

One of my favorite memories happened recently. I was guiding a tour and there was a fun and unusual sighting that I witnessed in the Maasai Mara; a Leopard fighting with a Rock Python.

Some of my favorite memories come from Africa - spotting a pangolin in Manyoni as we drove out of the park, and our yearly tradition of watching sunsets with our family at Zebra Hills, followed by crisp, quiet mornings on game drives. Those moments remind me of what really matters. I also have a beautiful memory of watching a massive herd of elephants by a river, playing and splashing around, I could have watched them all day.

Whenever I think about my African adventures, I find myself smiling. Every destination I visited had its own personality, and each one left me with memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Crossing into Kenya, the Masai Mara was a highlight of my journey. The open savanna seemed endless, and wildlife was everywhere. Watching lions, elephants, cheetahs, and giraffes in their natural habitat was incredible. Seeing the Great Migration was something I had always hoped to experience, and witnessing thousands of animals moving together across the plains was even more spectacular than I had imagined

Meet the Guides

When we meet you at the airport, you’ll always know it’s us. Our longstanding drivers and guides, part of our extended family, always show up in our uniforms, with our name on our vehicles. Some of them have been with us across the 15 years Live Life Safaris has been in business. And that sets us apart from many other safari companies.

My most memorable experience was in Botswana, where I unknowingly shared my tent with a python! I only discovered my unexpected guest when I saw it slithering away the following morning. It was both startling and unforgettable and certainly made for a unique African bush story.

My favourite African memory has to be watching a herd of nearly 100 elephants pass right beside our safari vehicle. Being so close to these magnificent animals, and feeling the ground move beneath them, was both humbling and awe-inspiring. It was a powerful moment that I will never forget.

One of my favorite parts of every safari and Cape Town adventure is seeing Africa through the eyes of first-time visitors. Watching someone experience Table Mountain, encounter wildlife up close, or witness an unforgettable African sunset for the first time is a reminder of just how special this continent truly is. Those shared moments of wonder are what make this work so rewarding.

Victoria Falls, La Digue Island and Prince Albert each hold a special place in my heart, reflecting the remarkable diversity and beauty of Africa. My greatest wish is to see South Africa thrive—not only in sport, but through better education and meaningful employment. Its success would create hope, opportunity and a brighter future for generations to come.
